EP Forensics bridges the gap between law and science. Founded by nationally recognized trial lawyer and forensic expert Emily Prokesch, the practice provides legal teams with the specialized knowledge and strategic insight needed to challenge unreliable science, address the misuse of surveillance, and achieve just outcomes in the criminal legal system.

For more than a decade, Emily has worked at the intersection of courtroom advocacy and forensic science—representing clients in complex, high-stakes criminal cases while building deep expertise in forensic disciplines and rapidly evolving technologies that increasingly shape prosecutions. She recognized that effectively litigating forensic evidence requires a level of focus, specialization, and ongoing engagement with scientific developments that cannot be outsourced entirely to experts and is difficult to sustain while representing clients full-time.

EP Forensics was established in January 2025 to fill this gap. The practice delivers the highest level of forensic expertise in the form that best serves the case—expert consulting, behind-the-scenes litigation support, resource counsel, or co-counsel. EP Forensics also trains attorneys and officers, designs forensic units, and contributes to policy and standards development nationwide.
